Project completion announcement
Malex Thor SRL company, as the Beneficiary, announces the completion of the project “Establishment of a fuel supply station, secure parking for goods transport vehicles, car service, public food and accommodation facility, road connection” in Orțișoara commune, Timiș county, co-financed through the European Commission programme: CINEA.B – Networks and sustainable investments, B.2 – CEF Transport: Central and South-Eastern Europe, Actions related to safe and secure mobility managed by the European Executive Agency for Climate, Infrastructure and Environment (CINEA) , according to the financing agreement related to the project number 101078867-21-RO-TC-SSTPA Malex Thor. The project took place over a period of 15 months, starting on 01.09.2022. The main objective of this project is to provide a safe parking service on a section of the freight network. The new parking lot is certified with the European Standard for secure parking lots – Platinum Level according to Certificate no. DE 0001 RO 000029 F. Parking focuses on improving the conditions offered to HGV drivers, reducing the time drivers spend searching for a secure parking area and implementing a set of security measures and increased surveillance. The parking lot can also be used as a waiting area for customs clearance or for trucks that have to deliver/pick up the goods in a predetermined time. The results of the project are in line with the national strategies related to the transport sector with the aim of improving the efficiency and attractiveness of the European – Romanian freight transport corridors.
